boAt aiming to sell products at an affordable price and also fashionable for young consumers. According to filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), boAt’s FY2018 revenues grew to Rs 108 crore from only Rs 27 crore in FY2017. That is 3x growth year on year.

boAt raised its first round of funding (Rs 6 crore) from Fireside Ventures (2018), an early-stage VC firm that backs consumer brands. These funds will be deployed in building newer products and expanding the customer base.

Boat IPO

Boat filed for a Rs 2000 crore intial public offering(IPO) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India(Sebi) on 27 January 2022.
